Jan. 22 is set aside as Day of Prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life. We ask that you join us on Sunday, Jan 21, for a Holy Hour for Life and adoration immediately after the 10:30 Mass.
A Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children
Each year, all dioceses in the United States are called to observe a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children. January 22 is the anniversary of the 1973 Supreme Court decisions that legalized abortion throughout our nation. And while, on June 24, 2022, the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision overturned Roe v. Wade, as of now, MA laws are still hostile to unborn children, allowing and actively encouraging and promoting abortions up to birth. Prayer and advocacy is much-needed, as well as the continued support of prolife pregnancy resource centers in western MA who support Moms in Need.
