A parish mission is an event at our Parish that lasts three to five days with the purpose of renewing the faith commitment and attachment to the Body of Christ present in our faith community.  Missions at St. John's will be announced in advance from the altar and in the church bulletin.
We encourage all parishioners to spend time in prayer and meditation with Jesus in the person of the Holy Eucharist at the church on Wednesday following the morning Mass until 6:00pm.  Stay for a few minutes or a few hours, it's up to you.  Adoration is a great opportunity to talk to Jesus and to offer prayers for your intentions. During the hours reserved for Eucharistic Adoration in the church it is very important that at least one person is present at all times.  Normally this is not a problem, but if you can commit to an hour please let us know by going to our Home page and signing up to be a scheduled Adorer, or Click Here. Thanks.
Since 1945 the Cursillo experience has been for many the start of an amazing spiritual renewal that can last a lifetime.  At it's core, the Cursillo is all about Evangelization wherein each person is asked by Jesus Christ to Christianize the world by living out Christian fundamentals in their everyday lives and in their own unique environments.  The Cursillo movement encourages us to "Make a Friend, Be a Friend, Bring a Friend to Christ".  If you would like more information about the Cursillo movement or to apply to make a Cursillo weekend please contact our Rectory office.

WORSHIP

DISCIPLINE - DEDICATION - DEVOTION!

These words are the motto of the St. John's Altar Server Corps, and we are always in need of young people who desire to make that motto their own.  At St. John's you have the opportunity to celebrate the Mass in the Ordinary Form, the Ordinary Form ad orientam, and the Extraordinary Form of the Latin Mass.  We meet regularly for training and recognition of servers as they grow in knowledge.

Discipline (doing their work well and knowing why they do it) Dedication (regular service as well as number of years served) Devotion (knowing the Faith of which the Holy Mass is such an integral part)

Won't you join us?  To Join the Altar Server Corps contact our Rectory office.

The Right To Life Ministry shows and brings God's Love and Mercy to those among us by providing programs that educate, address legal concerns and support the life and dignity of every person.  We support the premise that life must be respected and protected at every stage and in every condition.  The right to life is the first and most fundamental human right.  All Catholics must actively work for a world of greater respect for human life and a greater commitment to justice and peace.

Volunteers are always needed to promote the Right to Life cause.  If you want more information or to volunteer contact our Rectory office.
